“A good library will never be too neat, or too dusty, because somebody will always be in it, taking books off the shelves and staying up late reading them.”
― Lemony Snicket (Author of “A Series of Unfortunate Events”)
Our school library plays an integral part in the lives of our learners. It is a place to visit that is open, friendly, attractive, and a safe haven. It is a place to use your imagination. A place to “buy” books to your heart’s content.
The library stock is always evolving to include the latest fiction, as well as non-fiction titles. One of the aims of the Kenridge library is to develop our learners into effective users of information and ideas and to promote a life-long love for reading.
Our school library is always a hub of activity and the monitors assist with the smooth running of this vibrant space. Library monitors are learners who enjoy helping others, are responsible and committed.
Grade 1 – Grade 6 learners visit the library during their lesson cycles. During this time books are issued, reader guidance given, story-telling enjoyed and lessons presented.
Learners may also visit the library during break times.
Overdue, damaged and lost library books:
Learners who have overdue books, may not take out any books until the overdue items have been returned. Overdue notices will be sent home with the learners.
