Welcome to the Grade 7 Dream Team!

We are a passionate team of educators who believe that learning should be meaningful, engaging, and filled with purpose. Our classrooms are spaces where curiosity is encouraged, effort is celebrated, and every learner is given the opportunity to grow.

This year, we are focusing on “Stepping Up.” We encourage every learner to step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves in new and exciting ways. Growth doesn’t happen where things feel easy – it happens when we are brave enough to try, take risks, and keep going even when things feel difficult.

“Stepping up” means making the most of the opportunities around you, showing initiative, and giving your best effort in everything you do. It means working hard, staying committed, and believing in your ability to grow. We believe in the power of “yet”: you might not be there yet, but with effort and determination, you will get there.

We also place strong emphasis on the values that shape not only successful learners, but strong individuals:
Responsibility, Kindness, Hard work, and Perseverance.
These values guide how we learn, how we treat others, and how we conduct ourselves every day.

We encourage our learners to:

  • Wear their uniform with pride.
  • Respect their peers and educators
  • Be punctual and arrive at school on time.
  • Have a good attendance record (we are now in the Senior Phase).
  • Come prepared each day with the correct books and necessary stationery.
  • Work diligently and give their best in everything they do.

These small daily habits build confidence, independence, and a sense of pride in who they are becoming.

Vanjaar het ons die liedjie “Living Our Best Life” Booshle. G  gekies.

Living Your Best Life – Booshle. G

Why do I have to love myself?
You’re here, so can’t you do it for me?
‘Cause my life doesn’t look like anyone else
When I look around
I can’t seem to find a place that’s for me

But my pops said
“Don’t compare when you’re given your quest now
Give yourself a chance
You could be living your best life”

(Hey, hey, hey)
And he was right (hey, hey)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

I don’t know what you’ve been told
But I’m feeling you got something hidden
Look at the spark in your eyes
You got a heart of gold and it’s all coming out tonight

We want our learners to stand tall, support one another, take responsibility for their learning, and embrace this final year as an exciting and meaningful adventure.
