The Outdoor Club at Kenridge Primary School offers learners the opportunity to explore, discover and experience the world beyond the classroom. Through a variety of outings and activities, learners develop confidence, teamwork and a deeper appreciation for nature and their environment.
Our adventures include hikes, beach outings, wildlife experiences, environmental projects, outdoor cooking and unique learning opportunities such as visits to conservation areas and educational centres. Each outing is carefully planned to be both fun and meaningful, allowing learners to build practical skills while enjoying time outdoors with their peers.
The Outdoor Club encourages learners to try new things, work together and take responsibility for the environment around them. Activities often include teamwork challenges, problem-solving and hands-on experiences that help learners grow in confidence and independence.
Guided by the Kenridge values of Kindness, Perseverance and Service, learners are encouraged to support one another, respect nature and take pride in their shared experiences. Whether they are hiking a trail, preparing a potjie together, cleaning a beach or learning about wildlife conservation, every outing provides an opportunity to learn and grow.
The Outdoor Club reflects our commitment to ensuring every child has every chance, every day, creating memorable experiences that inspire curiosity, resilience and a lifelong love for the outdoors.
Our guiding principle remains simple:
Leave nothing behind, except footprints!
